JENNINGS, La. (KLFY)- A 36-year-old Jennings woman was arrested on Tuesday after detectives linked her to property stolen from a barn on Highway 1126.

Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered items Tuesday that were stolen from different locations in the parish. The property included a Stihl weed eater and  an X-mark Zero turn mower.

Detectives were assisted the Police Department with identifying the victim /owner of the zero turn mower that had not yet been reported stolen.

Deputies took a theft report on December 29, where the victim reported the Stihl Weed eater stolen along with a Pioneer Zero turn mower and utility trailer from a residence home. 

Dawn Lynn Fontenot has been charged illegal possession of stolen things and booked into the parish jail with no bond.

Additional arrests are expected.
