Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a theft that occurred at the Walmart in Bayou Vista. Authorities say on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at approxiamately 8:30 pm a male suspect is seen on video surveillance exiting the store with a shopping basket containing several items that were not purchased.  The stolen items include a pressure washer, car covers, hoses, and fishing poles. Authorities are asking anyone with information on the identity of the suspect to contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-384-1622 or 337-828-1960.
