Each year, Vermilionville hosts three free culture days to recognize and celebrate Creole, Acadian and Native American heritage.

On Sunday, those in attendance had the opportunity to check out how the Acadians lived.

Preserved at Vermilionville are, Acadian style artwork, Artifacts, and Architecture.

“I really wanted to see the houses that they kept in the same style as the time period and how they have different houses for different time periods. But today for the cultural day I was especially excited for some cajun dance lessons.”
