The Scott Police Department is reporting that a local man has been arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing Robert Felix outside his home last November.
According to Scott Police Chief Chad Leger, 25-year-old Traven Solomon of Lafayette was arrested Monday at his place of business in Downtown Lafayette.
He was taken into custody and booked without incident on charges of second degree murder, possession of schedule I narcotics, and taking contraband to a penal facility, Leger said.
The arrest follows a lengthy investigation into the second-degree murder of Robert Felix who was found shot outside of his home located in the 2900 block of W. Willow in the late hours of November 1, 2018, Leger said.
Investigators with Scott Police Department believe Solomon was directly involved with the slaying of Felix before fleeing the scene.
He is currently being held on bond totaling $290,500.
