CROWLEY, La. (KLFY)– Crowley Police, with the assistance of the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Department, are continuing the fight on the drug industry, said authorities.

On November 4, 2016, agents said they searched a residence in the 400 block of North Avenue E with a warrant.

Agents said when they entered the residence, they located a suspect along with a female adult and a child in the residence.

A news release stated that agents detained the subjects and began a search of the residence.

A spokesperson with the Crowley PD said while searching the bedroom of the residence, a plastic baggie was located in one of the dresser drawers. Inside of the large plastic baggie was six smaller separate baggies, each containing about 100 pills.

Police said they believed the pills found to be Ecstasy pills.

According to a news release, officials estimate the pills to have a street value of $35-50 dollars apiece, totaling around $23,000-30,000.

Police arrested Cody Scott, age 27 of Crowley.

Scott was transported to the Acadia Parish Jail on charges of simple possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute Ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
