Rain chances will increase through the week, especially late this week. Heavy rain will be likely at times, mostly Friday through the weekend. Flash flooding will be possible, and we will have a small chance of severe weather; I think flash flooding will be the bigger threat. Most areas will receive 3-5″ of rain, but a few areas may receive 6-8″ of rain, especially across the western parts of Acadiana. The map I posted is the European computer model through 4 PM Sunday. Other models are in close agreement with rainfall totals. Prepare for some flash flooding across Acadiana.
