IOTA, La. (KLFY) – Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson confirms to News 10 that an Iota man has been killed in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura after a tree fell onto his house.

Gibson identified the man as Jimmy Cart, 68, of Iota. The incident happened in the 3500 block of the Eunice/Iota highway.
