RAYNE, La. (KLFY) — UPDATE: The man allegedly responsible for Monday’s shooting death of 38-year-old Dalvin Washington is now in jail.
According to Rayne Police, 27-year-old Trey Prejean is now facing 2nd degree murder charges.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Arceneaux Drive and the Boulevard.
Police say Washington did not live on Arceneaux Drive but was visiting his children before the oldest went to school.
Eyewitnesses say it was an argument that led to the shooting.
Prejean is behind bars with no bond.
RAYNE, La. (KLFY) Rayne Police are searching for the man allegedly responsible for Monday afternoon’s shooting death of Dalvin Washington, 38, near the intersection of Arceneaux Dr. and The Boulevard.
Trey J. Prejean, 27, has an arrest warrant issued for second-degree murder with no bond set, according to Police Chief Carroll J. Stelly.
