VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) — Dec. 3, 2020, UPDATE: The advisory has been lifted.

ORIGINAL: Officials with the City of Ville Platte said that due to repairs to the water system, they will have to turn the water off to residents temporarily. It is unknown how long the water will be off.

When water service resumes, residents will be under a boil advisory until further notice.

Residents are asked to bring their water to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before consuming.
