Chef Ryan Trahan, Executive Chef at Blue Dog Café in Lafayette, was crowned the 2018 King of Louisiana Seafood on Saturday at the Great American Seafood Cook Off in New Orleans.

He be beat out 11 contestants from across the United State at the cook off that was held at the Morial Convention Center.

In June, he won the Louisiana Seafood Cook Off, which was held in conjunction with the Taste of Eat Lafayette, qualifying him to compete in the national competition.
