LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- Nonprofit Hunters for the Hungry Louisiana is giving a big thank you for the outpouring of support in a drive to collect food for those in need.

The annual Clean Out Your Freezer day needed 24,000 pounds of protein statewide, the organization said.
