LAFAYETTE, La, (KLFY)– Vermilionville is celebrating Earth Day 2019 by highlight individuals and organizations engaged in promoting wise stewardship practices to preserve the planet.
The event will take place on Sunday, April 14 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Vermilionville Living History Museum & Folklife Park located at 300 Fisher Road in Lafayette.
Admission is free thanks to our presenting sponsoring COX.
Bring the family for a day packed with education and recreation! Enjoy environmentally friendly kids’ crafts and activities, a yoga class, a clothing swap station, Clothes & Jewelry Fix-It Café, canoeing, tree give-a-ways, discussions, food demonstrations and music by Nouveau String Band and Horace Trahan & the Ossun Express.
In addition, bring an old t-shirt to make a reusable grocery bag.
