Jolie is extremely passionate and caring, showing empathy daily as she works in a busy Emergency Department. My oldest daughter been working on the frontline sense day one im so proud of her bravery..Saisha Tolliver Lillian Moten, RN Charge Nurse at Opelousas General Hospital for 30 years. . She has been on frontline at the start of the Corona Virus helping take care of sick patients and being a leader . She is a devoted nurse who always put others first. Lillian is one of our hero’s. Lena Issa is a registered nurse in the ER department at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Helping others and being in the medical field has always been a passion of hers since she was little. Jake Wallace. He is an assistant administrator at Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home in Dupont, LA. Jake was on charge of getting all mandated protocols in place at the nursing facility. He spent a lot of time trying to find supplies they would need during the mandated stay at home. He went to Marysville trying to find hand sanitizers, masks, gloves and even thermometer disposable covers. He was on the phone some nights until 11:30. Odette Dougherty 39, is a paramedic with Acadian ambulance service. Throughout her career she has stopped and helped people in accidents and numerous other incidents of course on duty and many times off duty. She is a mother of two and a stepmother of one ages 14 five and four months. She is an extremely selfless person who constantly goes into work early and clocked out from work late. She continuously donates money, time, and items to the needy, homeless, coworkers, and many other people. Her name is Andrea Couvillon McNamee. She is a graduate of Delta College and works at the Cancer Center of Acadiana at LGMC in the Infusion department. She is a military wife of a Air Force Soldier who works out of state. She is raising their 3 daughters alone, (7yrs, 3 yrs, 4 months), while he’s away. Each day starts at 4:30a.m. and ends at 10:00 pm. But she rises each day with determination. She gets the kids off to daycare and school then heads to work to make sure she’s there before the first Chemotherapy patient arrives. Aimee Couvillon. She is Certified Medical Assistant that graduated from Delta Career College, and has worked at Scott Family Physicians for 2 years. During the onset of the Pandemic she was on the frontline testing patients for the virus. She continues to serve her patients with tele med visits and testing as needed. She puts a smile on her face every single day in order to be the strength and calmness the patients need during this scary time. This is LeAnne Charles who is a LPN and has been working at Opelousas General Health Hospital for 15yrs.Mrs LeAnne is a staff nurse that has been on the front line, doing her part to help with the covid 19 patients, at time it can get so tiring,and long hours, but she knows that each patient she had a hand in for their care and seeing them go home, it was all worth it. I would like to nominate Laurie Chavis who has been employed as an LPN with Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point for the last 5 years in the swing-bed unit and ER. Laurie will graduate this month from LSU-E as a RN. She has continued working full time while obtaining this degree!!!! I would like to nominate Schloar Jenkins as one of the front line hero’s. Ms Jenkins is a mental health counselor who goes above and beyond to ensure her clients are properly taken care of. She takes on clients with a smile, no matter their background! She has been in the healthcare profession over 10 years and is faithful and dedicated to her job My nominee is Gwen Brumfield. She has been in the medical field for over 20 years. Gwen continues to care for patients in long term care facilities and through home health services. She never meets a stranger and has a knack for making you feel like family. In addition to performing her OT duties she has collected cleaning supplies and sanitizer and bird feeders and bird food ( so that residents have something interesting to look at out). She is devoted to her residents and committed to helping them feel engaged and connected during these trying times Laura Tanner is a EMT for St Landry EMS out of Opelousas La. She has been working first hand on the frontline since day one transporting corona patients and those who call with symptoms of the virus to the hospital. She is one of our hero’s. My name is Shavria wheeler I’m a traveling CNA I’m currently employed at Encore Rehabilitation for now until things get back in place & I’ll be traveling again. My job is to provide basic care to patients and assist them with their daily living .. As a CNA helping people is my PASSION Meet Pris Nichols people lead at my store. During this covid 19 pandemic, she has been at the store loyal and unselfish through it all. Has been keeping things run smooth even with a shortened staff. Amelia Manor Nursing Home Therapy Team I nominate Deon Leopaul a pharmacy tech at Walmart that goes over and beyond to make sure people in need get they meds she take a risk going out everyday to serve her community she have a husband that has stage 4 lung cancer and two boys that she can infect with the virus but yet she go to work everyday with a smile because shes doing what she love and that’s helping others she worked as a cna at Bethany nursing home for almost 9 years before going to school to get a degree in pharmacy tech Deon has always been a piece maker and a helper to any and everyone! This is Brennen McDaniel, Registered Respiratory Therapist at Viemed. He is working on the front lines, seeing patients and doing new equipment setups as patients come home from the hospital. Larrell Demetrius Greene is a young man of God who diligently transports patients to and from their appointments on a daily basis as well as feeding and teaching the word of God. Demetrius is employed at Secure Patient Delivery for 10 years and a Deacon at New life Tabernacle in Opelousas for 5 years. Mentoring over 20 plus years. She currently is employed at Our Lady of Lourdes on the Acute Medicine floor. She has been a direct caretaker of Covid 19 patients. She has definitely proved to be a team player!! Her name is Brittany Alfred she is a skilled nurse and working for Grace Home Health. She risks her health everyday to make sure others are in good health. She also works two other jobs but is temporarily relieved from those jobs because of the pandemic. She’s a single mother doing all of this trying to make ends meet. Erica currently works at Hansberry Adult Day Health Care. Erica has been going out in the field to check on her clients daily. While her own health and age should allow her to enjoy retirement, she works oncology to allow younger nurses to help out Covid-19 patients. Since the Pandemic began her dedication and Loyality toward her job is her priority . She has a smile that is contagious and looks forward into going to work daily. Hardy works for the Jeanerette, Louisiana Marshal’s Office. He is a 17 year law enforcement veteran. Sgt Hardy goes out of his way to help citizens and is a inspiration to many around him. During this pandemic Sgt. Hardy has been on the frontlines serving the community as a law enforcement officer and always checking on citizens even without an emergency like a big brother to many. He works on their intubation team and committed to helping save lives in this terrible time. Brittany is a nurse practitioner that rounds at two New Iberia nursing home facilities. She is so compassionate and determined to help those suffering with COVID. I would like to nominate my wife Sgt Courtney Bieber who has been on active duty at the GOSHEP warehouse in Baton Rouge since the COVID 19 pandemic began. She is part of the Louisiana National Guards 2228th MP Company and is in charge of the inventory and distribution of all PPE and Ventilators to the State. Also I would like to know when airs so i can save to show her as she is still in Baton Rouge. Arthur wakes up early every morning to go to stores all over Evangeline parish to make sure that he can get any type of disinfectant to help those who can’t get around to do so. He is going above and beyond for anyone in need. He doesn’t like to be in the spotlight but we want to show him that his good deeds do not go unnoticed. Sidney Ingram Desormeaux, Lourdes Imaging Clinical Access Supervisor, has remained on the frontline throughout COVID-19. Aside from her designated supervisory duties, she bravely greets and screens healthcare workers, patients, and the general population prior to their entry into the organization’s facilities. She has risked her well-being to keep us healthy. Shauna Sias has been an LPN for 10 years. She’s worked mainly in Geriatrics and Corrections but now serves the community in the clinic capacity. She is the Founder/President of Bullybox Passion Project. She believes that patient education is the key to longevity and a healthy happy life!
