CARENCRO, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested two young men in connection with several car burglaries that happened in two Carencro neighborhoods last month.

The suspects are accused of stealing vehicle keys, money, credit cards and a shotgun back on September 25, 2016.

Earlier this week, deputies released two surveillance videos of the suspects allegedly burglarizing vehicles in the 700 block of West Gloria Switch Road.

Lt. John Babin said Dale Damond, 18, of Lafayette, and a 13-year-old male were arrested on three counts of simple burglary and one count of attempted simple burglary.

Damond was also charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
