BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Remembrance is the theme of the weekend, honoring those who died for their country.

The Blue Star Moms laid out 11,000 flags on the Louisiana State Capitol grounds Friday night.

There is one flag for every Louisianian killed in military service since the American Revolution.

In a ceremony Saturday morning, they read the names of all those killed since the 9/11 attacks.

The flags will stay there until 5 p.m. Monday when Taps is played.
