Anyone with information on a crash that happened Friday night on LA 43 north of LA 442 in Livingston Parish is urged to contact Louisiana State Police Troop A at 225-754-8500, or their local law enforcement agency.  According to LSP, shortly before 10:00 pm on July 17, 2015, two pedestrians were walking in the southbound of LA 43 and at the same time, an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on LA 43 and began passing another vehicle.  Police say the unknown vehicle struck the 14 year old pedestrian in the southbound lane.  After striking the pedestrian, the unknown vehicle made a U-turn and fled the scene traveling southbound on LA 43.

Based off of witness statements, troopers believe that the unknown vehicle may be a dark, newer model GMC or Chevrolet pickup. The vehicle may have damage to the front end and possibly a broken left head light.

This crash remains under investigation.
