A driver has been hospitalized after pipe came loose from his 18-wheeler and crashed forward into the cab in Broussard.
Police say Steve Isbell was traveling west on US Hwy 90 near the intersection of N. Morgan Avenue.
When Isbell put on the brakes on his truck, the loads of drill-pipe shifted forward through the cab.
Isbell was trapped inside because he was pinned beneath the drill pipes.
He was removed, and taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Police say Isbell is in stable condition and was cited for careless operation.
