LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) State Police are on the scene of a jack-knifed 18-wheeler on Interstate-10 eastbound near the North University Avenue Exit.
Police say it happened around 5 p.m.
The cause of the crash in unknown at this time and the driver of the rig so far has not been identified.
Police have shut down a portion of Interstate 10 (east) starting at the North University Avenue exit.
Traffic is being redirected.
