UPDATE from Louisiana State Police.

Two people killed in a car crash just north of Crowley.  The crash happened at Highway 98 and McCain Road.  The victims are identified as 40-year old Carlos Lazo of Duson and 28-year old Luis Estrada of Scott.   17-Year old Caroline Gauthier of Crowley was injured in the crash along with her 14-year old passenger.

Police say as Lazo, driving a Black Honda Accord, approached an intersection he failed to stop, crossing into the oncoming path of Gauthier’s vehicle.  Authorities say Lazo was wearing a seatbelt, but Estrada was not.  They also said Gauthier and her passenger were properly restrained and only suffered minor injuries..

The crash remains under investigation.

Authorities are on the scene of a deadly accident in the Acadia Parish.

Officials say the accident happened on Maxie Highway (Highway 98) and Mccain Road, just north of Crowley.

2 people were killed, 2 others were injured.

Authorities tell KLFY News that the two-people killed were in a Black Honda Accord. Officials say the car failed to Yield at a stop sign and was struck by another car.  The two people in that car received minor injuries.
