Someone in Acadiana, or who recently visited Acadiana is now $40,000 richer and all they have to do is check their pockets or their nightstand or the cupholder inside their vehicle for a winning lottery ticket.

According to the Louisiana Lottery, a winning ticket that matched 4/5 white ball numbers, the Mega Ball and included the Megaplier Friday night was sold at the Mamou Shell on 6th Street. 

The winning numbers were 8, 9, 32, 42, 59, 10 and Megaplier 4X. 

The winner now has 180 days to claim the prize.
