LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)– The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Detectives have identified the victim found in a pond near Fortune Road and Verot School Road.

According to a news release, Porfirio Garcia, 93, was reported missing by family members on September 21, at approximately 6 p.m.

At this time the cause of death has yet to be determined.
