A little appetizer of summer is coming for your Saturday as Acadiana sees temperatures above normal along with high humidity.  This morning is rather foggy and warm.  High temperatures are expected near 83° this afternoon but with the humidity, we may see a heat index around 85-88°.  Conditions will turn a bit breezy too.  Fortunately, rain chances only look around 20% with a few showers and storms possible under a partly sunny sky.

Attention is still on Sunday as our next potent storm system moves through Acadiana.  Unlike Thursday, most of the activity will arrive late in the afternoon and evening Sunday.  Heavy rains are likely and there is another low threat for severe weather.  Damaging winds, tornadoes, and large hail are all possible late Sunday.  An additional 2-4″ inches of rain is possible Sunday into Monday.  Flash flooding is also a concern that will need to be monitored.
