RAPIDES PARISH, La.- An Alexandria man is facing rape charges for allegedly assaulting two victims. 

On April 24, 2019, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance committed in 5800 block of England Drive in Alexandria.  

Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the victims who stated that Justin Jerome Gillespie, 37, had allegedly committed a domestic battery and criminal sexual acts upon them.

The victims went to a local hospital and were provided with the necessary medical treatment.

Deputies attempted to make contact with the suspect, but he had left his home prior to their arrival.  Detectives were contacted and responded to the scene. After further investigation sufficient probable cause was established that supported the initial allegations. Deputies continued their search, which included several locations where Gillespie was known to frequent. 

Gillespie was located in the Lecompte area where he was taken into custody without incident. 

He was later booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center for One Count each 1st Degree Rape, second degree kidnapping, domestic abuse battery strangulation, criminal damage and two counts – domestic abuse battery.  

Gillespie is currently being detained at the detention center in lieu of posting a $228,500 bond. 

He faces one count of the following: first degree rape, second degree rape, domestic battery by strangulation and criminal damage. Gillespie also faces two counts of domestic abuse battery.
