OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) – A suspect seen on an Opelousas residence’s surveillance system stealing packages delivered to their doorstep has been arrested.

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says Chondre Pipes turned himself into deputies around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1st.

Guidroz tells News 10 that Pipes was actually staying across the street form the home and called other suspects not yet identified to help him steal the packages.

Pipes also apparently changed his appearance from the surveillance footage by cutting his hair bald, but decided to turn himself into authorities.

Additional arrests are expected.
