FRANKLIN, La. (KLFY)- Two suspects are in custody today in connection to an armed robbery that happened earlier this week. Detectives now believe they were involved in other crimes in the Franklin area.
Just before 10 p.m. on Monday, Franklin police were called to local business on Iberia Street. Witnesses told investigators that two armed suspects entered the business and demanded money from employees.
Detectives were able to developed two persons on interest, obtain a search warrant and recover evidence such as clothing and airsoft guns.
One suspect has been linked to a separate armed robbery on Jan. 29 on Martin Luther King Boulevard. Detective believe the second suspect in linked to vehicle burglaries that occurred in the Eastwood area of Franklin in late December.
The following suspects were arrested on Wednesday:
Dequellin Antoine, 18, was arrested on Wednesday on the charges of possession of schedule I narcotics (marijuana), illegal possession of stolen things, simple burglary of a vehicle – six counts, and armed robbery – two counts. Antoine was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Laquandrae Poledore, 17, was arrested on an armed robbery charge.
