A small group of elected officials, along with Milton community leaders toured the construction area at Milton Elementary/Middle School.
Milton Elementary is getting $16 million in renovations.
The renovations include air conditioning in the gym, renovations to the administrative area, expanding the cafeteria, along with more classroom space, restrooms and all of the supporting facilities with that.
Because of the new space, the school was able to remove all of the butler buildings – or portable classroom trailers.
Over 1,000 students attend Milton Elementary/Middle School.
The new wing will be ready for students when schools start on August 8th.
