(WMC)  His bright eyes are bringing joy and selling pajamas in a new Christmas advertisement by OshKosh B’Gosh. By now you may be familiar with Asher Nash, a child with Down Syndrome who landed a modeling gig for OshKosh, following his mom’s online campaign to change the perception of children with special needs.

In the new holiday ad, Asher is wearing his signature smile and sleepwear celebrating the season.

Meagan Richter Nash met with company executives last week and found out the good news for her 1-year-old son, Asher. His story and picture were posted to the Facebook page Kids with Down Syndrome on Oct. 10, and the post was shared more than 120,000 times.

“I am so unbelievably overwhelmed by everyone’s responses!” Nash said on Facebook. “Thank you so much for going on this journey with us, and we can’t wait to see what Asher’s future holds for him.”

Earlier this year, Nash submitted photos of Asher to a modeling agency doing a casting call. She found out they never passed the submission along since the company didn’t specify they were looking for models with special needs. The family has been chronicling Asher’s adventure on their own Facebook page, Asher’s Down Right Perfect.

Nash said she hopes his story will help raise inclusiveness for kids like Asher, and the OshKosh CEO thanked them for bringing it to the company’s attention.

“When I posted it, I just thought my family and friends would see it,” she said on HLN. “I had no idea that the world would take to his pictures the way they did. It’s been incredible.”
