Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is seeking information regarding a homicide which occurred Sunday, April 22, 2018, in the early morning hours on Interstate 10 near Duson.

Investigators with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting death of Darrell J. Singleton, 31, of Breaux Bridge.

Singleton was traveling west bound on Interstate 10 just before 3 a.m., when multiple shots were fired at his vehicle. Singleton’s vehicle exited the roadway where he was discovered deceased from gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement believes that Singleton was targeted by his assailants, thus this was not a random act. Investigators also believe that problems may have originated in the Breaux Bridge area where Singleton resides.
