UPDATE: The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms Bryson Thibodeaux has been “found safely.”

9 year old Bryson Thibodeaux left his house in Point Blue, outside of Ville Platte, without his parent’s knowledge Friday afternoon.
Officials with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office say “It is paramount that Bryson is located quickly due to his medical condition of autism.”
Multiple agencies including the FBI, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, State Police, Ville Platte Police, and many others have joined efforts to try and find Bryson.
“Paul Thibodeaux (bryson’s dad): “Through Facebook we’ve organized all kinds of search parties and we’ve got the Cajun Navy here to help us find my son.”
Alongside these agencies, many volunteers have traveled to the area to search for Bryson.
“renee brown (volunteer): “There are people from everywhere that have come to help us to look for one of our little community members here and it’s beautiful to see the outpouring and the outreach of people that have come out to help us.”
“Paul Thibodeaux (bryson’s dad) “It just really warms our heart that people would come here that don’t even know my son that they would come out here and help find him we’re just praying and we’re just hoping all of our efforts are successful”
Officials and volunteers tell me they will continue to search until Bryson is found.
UPDATE: The search continues this evening for a 9-year-old boy in Evangeline parish. Authorities say Bryson Thibodeaux has been missing since noon on Friday.

A massive search is underway as crews comb the area looking for the 9-year-old.
Multiple agencies including the FBI, State Police, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ville Platte Police and family members are out on foot, dirt bikes, in vehicles and motor boats looking for child missing now more than 18 hours.
America’s Cajun Navy has also made the trip here to Ville Platte and were told volunteers who don’t know the family have come out as well.
Officials say they will continue to search the area well into the night.
Anyone with information on his where-a-bouts is asked to contact the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office or your local 911.
As of 6:15 p.m. Louisiana State Police has issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Media Advisory on behalf of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office for nine (9) year old Bryson Thibodeaux of Chataignier.
Bryson is described as a white male child with short brown hair and is approximately 3’10” tall and weighs 47 pounds.
Family members confirm Bryson has Autism and due to his medical condition, his judgment may be impaired.
He was last seen around 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 28, at his residence in the 3400 block of Chataignier Road.
Police say he walked away from that location in an unknown direction of travel.
It is unclear what Bryson was wearing when he left home, but when he was last seen he was wearing boxer shorts and a long sleeve T-shirt.
Anyone having information as to the whereabouts of Bryson Thibodeaux should immediately contact the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-363-2161 or call 911.

Bryson Thibodeaux left his home at noon on Friday. He was only wearing a t-shirt and boxers. He has short hair and weighs 42lbs. Authorities say it is paramount that Bryson is located quickly due to his medical condition of Autism.
The Evangeline Parish Sheriffs Office is asking anyone who lives near that area check around your properties.
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office has teamed up with several agencies both local and afar in an effort to locate Bryson. The Cajun Navy arrived earlier and is on scene conducting a search in the Chataignier/Point Blue area along with the other agencies.
