LOREAUVILLE, La. (KLFY) – The Bayou Teche Water Works system in Iberia Parish has issued a boil advisory due to a malfunction at the system’s plant.

This malfunction resulted in a loss of water pressure below 15 psi throughout the system.

The malfunction has been repaired but the system has issued the advisory until further notice.

Affected customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for three (3) minutes before consuming.

The advisory will be lifted once water samples have been cleared by DHH.
