A bicyclist was killed ina crash near Jeanerette High School.
Authorities say 32-year-old Donald Henry was killed Tuesday evening.
Police say their preliminary investigation shows a 19-year-old struck Henry’s bicycle was trying to pass a car in a no passing zone. Police say there were no street lights where the crash occurred.
The teenager was given a ticket for passing in a no passing zone.
The crash remains under investigation.
