LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- A Lafayette man riding a bicycle was struck and killed Thursday night.

Police say Paul Attwood, 54, was struck and killed around 7:30 p.m. while riding in the 1600 block of Surrey Street. Police say he did not have any lights on a bike.

Intoxication is not believed to be a factor in the accident. The driver of the car was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
