Red, white and blue filled the sky shortly after 9 pm Saturday night for the Uncle Sam’s Jam fireworks show, which attracted about 1,000 people, at Parc International in downtown Lafayette.

Uncle Sam’s Jam Independence Day Celebration was held from 3pm until 10 pm and featured such entertainers as Roddie Romero and the Hub City Allstars, Ray Boudreaux, Travis Ewing and DJ Chris Reed.
