OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) – Investigators do not suspect foul play in connection with the body of a 32-year-old woman found inside a vehicle at truck stop north of Opelousas.

Major Eddie Thibodeaux said St. Landry Parish sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive female at Quarter’s Truck Stop around 11:39 p.m. Wednesday.

Responding paramedics determined the woman was dead. Thibodeaux identified the woman as Martina Tatiana Charell Richard of Opelousas.

Investigators examining the victim and did not find any obvious signs of injuries.

Thibodeaux said at this time, “there are no compelling evidence that would rule this incident anything but death by natural causes.”

The coroner’s office is still investigating the death.
