The following is a news release from LUS 

LAFAYETTE, LA (May 13, 2016) – Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) has issued a Boil Water Advisory effective immediately for the below addresses.

Due to a broken water line located on Johnston Street near Constitution Drive, these LUS customers are currently without water.

LUS is in the process of making repairs, and anticipate service restoration this evening. Once water service is restored, customers will be under a boil water advisory for 24 hours.

Customers in the affected area need to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
