BROUSSARD, La. (KLFY)— Nine cars in Broussard burglarized, and one stolen leads to the arrest of two suspects and one still on the loose according to officials.

Authorities say on Monday, April 18, Broussard police officers were dispatched to a vehicle burglary.

While the initial investigation was ongoing, more victims began to realize their vehicles had also been burglarized.

A total of nine vehicles were burglarized and one stolen.

The events happened between the morning hours of 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. investigators believe.

Additionally, investigators were able to develop leads which ultimately led to identifying three suspects and the recovery of the stolen vehicle.

Of the suspects, two are juveniles and one is an adult who is identified as Arthella Andrus, 17, of Lafayette.

Andrus was arrested with the assistance of the Lafayette PD on April 29 after a warrant was secured for nine counts of simple burglary and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

One of the other suspects, a juvenile confessed to officials to the crime and was booked on the same charges.

The last suspect, a juvenile with warrants for the same crimes, has not yet been located.
