An escapee is back behind bars.
Jeremy Blackburn, 39, was arrested Wednesday.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff, Scott Anslum tell KLFY News 10 his office received a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Blackburn. He says the suspect had escaped a West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s work release detail.
St. Mary Parish deputies located the car Blackburn was suspected of driving, attempted to pull him over. The suspect then tried to outrun the deputies, striking another car on the road and mailbox before losing control of the car. He ended up in a ditch on Duhon By Pass Road.
Blackburn is charged with the following offenses:
- Aggravated flight from an officer
- Aggravated obstruction of a roadway
- Criminal damage to property
- No driver’s license
- Warrant for simple escape.
No bail is set at this time.
