CARENCRO, La. (KLFY)- UPDATE: Authorities have identified the victim as 19-year-old Deamondre. Arceneaux, of Lafayette.

 A body was found in a ditch on Breaux Road in Carencro on Sunday night.

According to Carencro Police Chief David Anderson, a male body was located just after 9 p.m. Sunday on Breaux Road near its intersection on Francois Drive. 

Anderson said the cause of death has not been determined. Officers are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Arceneaux’s family said he is the same victim who was shot multiple times last year near Himbola Apartments.
