Stonehenge is a quiet senior community, but during this time of year, residents say its lit.
Frances Rouley  and her husband Robert moved in not too long ago.  Frances appreciates the lights, “Its like a winter wonderland its nice.””
Without Bobby Benson,  the maintenance supervisor, the holiday magic wouldn’t be possible.  He has been in charge of creating the holiday spirit for 20 years.

Benson said, “We used to go all the way up the oak trees, but now we just stay low, its too much to get up and down.”

Besides decorating the courtyard, a Christmas decorating competition between the residents is also held.

Robert and Frances Rouley came in second place.  Robert added next year will be different, “Oh were going bigger next year. Way bigger.”

Frances says the Christmas decorations bring positivity to the complex.

Rouley said, “It lifts the spirits of the people especially those shut in.  all they have to do is look out.”
