LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) Cite Des Arts in Lafayette cancelled Saturday’s matinee performance of the musical ‘The Odd Couple’ because an actor died just before the show.

A posting on the Cite Des Arts Facebook page stated that Dr. Robert Sidman died unexpected Saturday.

“Today, we mourn the loss of our brightest star. May your light shine upon us all for the rest of our lives. We love and miss you Robert Sidman,” the page stated.

Performances will resume next weekend.
