BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY) – Tuesday students from the Brazos Huval School of music came together to lift their voices to sing and celebrate the young life of Isley Thibodeaux. Buck and Johnny’s in Breaux Bridge was packed as fellow classmates celebrated her life through song. Thibodeaux was killed after the Carrie Underwood concert in April when the car she was riding in was hit by a suspected drunk driver, she was just ten years old. But on this night, the focus was the beautiful life she left behind

“She was a lively little thing. Full of life, happy.”

Thibodeaux was a student at the Brazos Huval School of Music. Isley’s music teacher Brazos Huval said she was a very dedicated student. Fellow classmates from the St. Bernard School 5th Grade Choir dedicated song after song to their dear friend. Kindergarten teacher Teresa Castille said Isley may no longer be here, but she will live on in their hearts.

“We will always remember her and carry her with us forever.”

20 percent of the proceeds collected will go to the Thibodeaux family.
