LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)—Lafayette law enforcement arrest one in narcotics raid.


According to a news release, in the morning hours of July 19, Lafayette Parish Deputies and Lafayette Police searched a residence on the 100 block of Kris Drive resulting in the arrest of Rickey J. Olivier, 37.

A spokesperson with the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office said during the search agents seized Marijuana, Crack cocaine, Trenbolone, Tramadol, Cheratussin, Suboxone, one handgun and an assault rifle.

Agents say they also found Heroin containing Fentanyl which officials say is the type of Heroin suspected to be a contributing factor in approximately seven heroin-related deaths in Lafayette Parish.
Authorities are saying the approximate value of the weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia seized during the search is $12,461.
Officials say a 13-year-old and 4-year-old were present in the residence.
Olivier’s bond was set at $50,000.
