JEFF DAVIS PARISH, La. (KLFY)- A Welsh husband and wife are facing multiple charges after drugs were reportedly found in their vehicle.
On Monday, Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Peto’s truck stop on La. 395 in reference to “suspicious activity” behind the building.
During the investigation, deputies reportedly found marijuana, diazepam, alprazolam and Adderall, along with suspected heroin in the suspects’ possession.
Violet Marie Dugas, 40, and Shane Dale Dugas, 47, both from the same residence in Welsh, were arrested and booked into the parish jail.

Shane Dugas is charged with violation of a protective order and possession of CDS IV. He was held on a $10,000 bond.
Violet Dugas is charged with violation of a protective order, possession of CDS schedule IV, possession of CDS Schedule II, possession of marijuana, possession of heroin and taking contraband into a penal facility.
She was held on a $15,000 bond, authorities said.
