State Police are investigating a Monday evening crash that killed a Eunice man.
State Troopers say that Connie Fuselier was riding his motorcycle eastbound on LA highway 10 west of U.S. Highway 167.
At the same time, Chris Humphrey was traveling westbound in his truck.
As the two vehicles approached each other, Fuselier crossed into the westbound lane.
In an attempt to avoid the collision, Humphrey steered left. Fuselier steered back right and the vehicles struck head-on near the center line, troopers say.
Fuselier was taken to a hospital where he later died due to his injuries; it’s not known if he was impaired at the time, but a toxicology sample will be submitted.
Humphrey was properly restrained and was uninjured; impairment is not suspected on his part, according to state troopers.
