LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette Police are currently working a crash that involved an 18 wheeler and a pedestrian in the 600 block of Northeast Evangeline Thurway.

According to police, the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries.

The northbound lanes will be closed partially for the next hour while the vehicle is cleared from the roadway, police also say.
