ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY)- Have you seen this boat?

According to the Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon, detectives are investigating the theft of a boat which was located on South Hospital Drive, approximately one mile south of Charity Street in Abbeville, La.

The boat was last seen in a crawfish pond on South Hospital Drive near the bridge that crosses Youngs North Coulee. 

The boat was last seen on Sunday, March 24, at approximately 11 a.m. and was discovered stolen on March 25, at approximately 7a.m. 

“It is believed that the boat was loaded onto a trailer that was brought to the scene by the persons responsible for the theft. The boat is described as a 17-foot river trail tunnel hull boat, green in color,“ the department said.

The motor is a 2009 34 HP Vanguard Pro Drive equipped with tiller handle, trim, and reverse.
