Crowley Police have secured an arrest warrant for 26 year old Ronald Wayne Babineaux of Crowley regarding the shooting incident which occurred Saturday in the Wal Mart parking lot.

The warrant has been issued for attempted 2nd degree murder.

Investigators believe that the victim and suspect have had some issues with each other in recent days but are not clear over what.

According to Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson, “The firearm which is believed to have been used in this case has been recovered. This means that Babineaux should be treated as a dangerous person armed or not.

It is unknown if he is armed at this time” stated Gibson.
