PARKS, La. (KLFY)– A Catahoula woman was accused of selling drugs to a man in Parks, La.

According to Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies made the arrest this morning following an investigation into reports of suspected illegal drug activity.

Deputies say they arrived at a residence in the 1000 block of Oscar Guidry Rd. in Parks Louisiana with a search warrant.

A news release states that deputies noticed and interrupted a drug transaction in progress as they arrived.

Higgins tells KLFY that Katie Latiolais, 47, of Catahoula was attempting to sell a man who was identified as Neal Broussard, 37, of Parks, methamphetamines.

Deputies say they detained both suspects and then searched the residence where they say they discovered a significant amount of Methamphetamines.

Both of the suspects were arrested.

Katie Latiolais was charged with Possession with intent to distribute schedule II CDS (methamphetamine, obstruction of justice, and procession of drug paraphernalia.

Neal Broussard was charged with attempted possession of a schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, transactions involving drug proceeds.
