CECILIA, La. (KLFY)—Following up on a report, deputies say they arrested a Cecilia man after they seized $30,000 worth of narcotics and three suspected stolen military body armor vest, ballistic plates.

According to a spokesperson with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies with a warrant, search a property in the 1100 block of Grand Anse Hwy., in Cecilia yesterday evening
Authorities tell KLFY, agents recovered from the residence, three advanced military body armor vests and several sets of ballistic plates which they believe were stolen. Additionally, deputies recovered an assault rifle and several other firearms.
Deputies also say recovered from the residence was a large amount of methamphetamine, amphetamine, marijuana, antidepressants, pain pills and a significant amount cash.
According to a news release, the street value of the narcotics was estimated to be $30,000.

Deputies arrested Colby Calais, 45, of Cecilia for the following:
- Possession With Intent To Distribute Schedule I CDS (Marijuana) 2nd Offense
- Possession With Intent To Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine over 28 grams) 3rd Offense
- Possession With Intent To Distribute Schedule II CDS (Amphetamine)
- Possession With Intent To Distribute Schedule II CDS (Caprisoprodol)
- Possession With Intent To Distribute Schedule III CDS (Hydrodone)
- Possession With Intent To Distribute Schedule IV CDS (Alprazolam)
- Illegal Carrying Of Weapons In The Presence of a CDS
- Possession Of A Firearm By A Person Convicted Of Certain Felonies
- Illegal Use Of Body Armor
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Illegal Use Of Controlled Dangerous Substances In The Presence Of Persons Under Seventeen Years Of Age
Following his arrest, Calais was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
The investigation regarding the suspected theft of advanced military body armor vest remains under investigation.
