A free household chemical clean out drop off point will be available to residents in the city of Lafayette this Saturday June 13, 2015 in the Cajun Field Parking lot, off West Congress Street.

Lafayette Consolidated Government Environmental Quality Manager , Mark Pope, hopes residents make the most of the free service.

“This projects fits right in with City-Parish President Joey Durel’s “Project Front Yard,” which is the initiative to encourage Lafayette citizens to do the right thing to make Lafayette as safe and clean as possible, Pope said.

The summer months are a great time to clean out your home, car or garage of any unwanted chemicals.
